FAR System to Help EVSC Recover Funds More Efficiently
The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation has elected to use an outside company to recover returned checks that have been used to pay for school lunches. No longer will the district or school staff arrange for the repayment of checks returned for non-sufficient funds. The Federal Automated Recovery Systems (FARS) will now be responsible for the electronic collection of non-sufficient funds checks turned in to any school or district account.
The EVSC will gladly accept your checks. When you provide a check as payment, you authorize the EVSC to either use information from the check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. You also are authorizing FARS to collect a $20 fee through an electronic fund transfer from your account if your payment is returned unpaid.
If you have any questions about this system, please email EVSC Director of Food and Nutrition Pat Barsumian at pat.barsumian@evsc.k12.in.us or call the Office of Food and Nutrition at 435-8258.
A little bit of information about our school . . .
We are a PARTNERSHIP SCHOOL! We believe that the school administrators, teachers, parents and community should work together, strengthening the lines of communication and creating respectful partnerships between the adults. This enables each student the opportunity to develop positive attitudes about school and to achieve success in difficult situations. Building relationships among all involved adults allows the student to flourish because there is mutual understanding, respect, and trust. It is always our goal to provide the best possible educational experience for your child and your family. Established in 1891, Caze Elementary School is rich in history. We currently have an enrollment of around 400 students. Our school mascot is a cougar, and our school colors are green and white. We love to acknowledge accomplishments (big and small) so most Friday mornings we start off with "Spirit Day" in our gymnasium. We invite you to join us. Please stop by the office to sign in and get a visitor's badge.
