Sports Physicals

Sports physicals will be offered at Bosse High School in the big gym by the Athletic Office.  Sports physicals must be filled out in order to play any sport in high school. 


These physicals can not be used as a 9th grade entry physical.

WMS Policy for Athletic Eligibility



(A)  Students who desire to compete on an athletic team at Washington Middle School are expected to be good students both academically and socially before they tryout for the team.  Students who are not good student/athletes may not be chosen to represent our school on an athletic team.


(B)  A WMS student/athlete may be placed on probation if:


     1.  During the previous grading period, the student received a negative comment (U,X) from (3) different teachers on his or her report card.


     2.  During the current grading period, a student/athlete receives a negative comment (U,X) from (3) or more different teachers on their progress report.


(C)  A WMS student/athlete may be suspended for 2 games if:




      1.  A student/athlete failed (2) or more classes at the end of the grading period.




      2.  During the current grading period, (3) or more teachers issue a student/athlete, on probation, a progress report.




      3.  A student/athlete commits any blatant offense that is unbecoming of a student at WWMS.




(D)  A WMS student/athlete may be dismissed from a team if:




     1.  During the current grading period, (2) or more teachers issue a student/athlete, who has already been suspended, a negative comment (U,X) on his/her progress report.




     2.  During the current grading period, it is determined by the Principal or Assistant Principal, Coach, and Teachers that a student/athlete has failed to show progress academically or behaviorally based on grades, conduct, and effort or all three and has already served a suspension.




     3.  A student/athlete continues to commit blatant offenses that are unbecoming of a student at WMS.




     4.  A student/athlete who was placed on suspension for failing (2) or more classes has not brought up his or her grades after 2 weeks.




     5.  A student/athlete who fails (2) or more classes for (2) grading periods throughout the school year will be dismissed from the team for the current year and will be placed on probation for the beginning of the next athletic school year.




(E)  The Principal will have the final say on any disciplinary action taken against any student.
