Overview

The EVSC serves an average of approximately 3,000 students each year through Career and Technical Education programs offered at the Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center and individual Evansville high schools.  Students select from a variety of trade and industry programs, vocational business and marketing, agribusiness, health careers, work study and family and consumer science courses.

Teachers often have personal occupational experience in the content they teach and combine real world experience with "hands-on" curriculum to provide students excellent learning opportunities. Career and Technical Education programs also have business advisory committees which enable teachers and business/industry representatives to work together to develop curricula, identify equipment needs, etc.
