Indiana Academic Standards
In the 2014-2015 school year, the State of Indiana will move toward implementation of a new set of academic standards called Common Core Standards. And, with that move, students in Indiana will take the PARCC asasessments as opposed to the ISTEP+ test currently given.
Common Core Standards are designed to provide a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn so that teachers and parents know how to help them. The standards, which are designed to be relevant to the real world, will reflect the knowledge and skills students will need for success in college and in careers.
