School-Community Council

The School Community Council, one of 70 organizations collaborating to enhance youth and family development, has two goals to help our students succeed in the classroom and life.

Our Goals

Our first goal is to strengthen the bonds between the families and students in the EVSC with the school and the community by establishing an infrastructure that encourages schools and agencies to work as a team to support the students and families within the community

Our second goal is to provide access to programs and services that promote improving the physical, mental and emotional health of the children and their families within the Evansville Community.  The School-Community Council has created specifically designed teams to help reach these goals:

  • Nutrition and Physical Activities
  • Social and Emotional Learning
  • Family Engagement
  • Communication
  • Evaluation Afterschool Programs
  • Steering Committee
  • Big Table
