Free Physicals and Immunizations Available Aug. 4 by Appointment
Free physicals and immunizations for children are being provided BY APPOINTMENT on Saturday, Aug. 4 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Echo Community Health Care's Main Campus clinic, located at 315 Mulberry Street in Evansville. There are still a few openings available. Call 435-8343 to make an appointment.
For children to get the most out of their education they need to be as healthy as possible – and getting immunized is one of the best ways to keep kids from getting sick. But for families who lack quality health insurance, finances can be an obstacle. The EVSC School-Community council, in collaboration with ECHO Community Health Care, St. Mary’s Children’s Services, the Vanderburgh County Department of Health, and the Evansville Courier and Press will sponsor free school and sports physicals, immunizations, and dental screenings for Kindergarten, 6th, and 9th grade students who are residents of Vanderburgh, Warrick, or Posey Counties and are without insurance or have insurance that doesn’t cover these services.
All State required and recommended vaccines will be offered at the event. The student must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and they must have their current immunization record. Patient Advocates from St. Mary’s and ECHO will help eligible families apply for Hoosier Healthwise benefits. Interpreters will also be available to assist Spanish-speaking families. Appointments are required. Scheduling began on May 29. Please call 812.435.8343 to schedule your appointment.
