State Superintendent Visits Scott School

State Superintendent Tony Bennett visited Scott School Thursday, Aug. 23, to talk with teachers and students. Bennett observed Second Grade Teacher Kimber Scarlett's classroom for much of the visit as she taught a science lesson to her class. Kimber was recently named to Dr. Bennett's Indiana Education Reform Cabinet (IERC). Kimber and fellow Second Grade Teacher Shelly Breivogel also demonstrated how technology can be used effectively for curriculum mapping.

Also in Kimber’s classroom, Helen Shang, English teacher from Scott’s sister school in China - Luqiao Elementary Experimental School - presented a short Chinese lesson.
