Delaware School is one of three EQUITY (Excellence and Quality United in Transforming Youth) schools in the EVSC. As an Equity School,Delaware has more autonomy over its school day and school calendar. Delaware, for example, extended its school day by 44 minutes, allowing it to add an additional class. Students can select from Spanish, technology and/or dance/theater classes.
Delaware students also have access to the latest classroom technology and are able to use netbooks in the classroom.
In 2011, Delaware showed the highest growth on its ISTEP scores than any other school in the state.
After sixth grade, Delaware students will attend North Jr. High School for grades seven and eight, before moving on to North High School.
