21st Century Afterschool Programs

Our school district proudly offers robust 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Afterschool Program, designed to support student success beyond the classroom. This free program provides a safe, enriching environment for students after school, featuring:

  • Academic Support: Homework help and tutoring in reading, math, and science
  • Enrichment Activities: Arts, music, STEM, and fitness programs
  • Social-Emotional Learning: Leadership, teamwork, and personal growth
  • Family and Community Engagement: Resources for parents and guardians, school and community events etc.

Open to all students in our approved sites, the program helps boost achievement, build confidence, and strengthen school-community connections. Each one of these programs are facilitated by a Community Learning Center Coordinator

Together, we're creating a brighter future—one afternoon at a time.

****Please note there is a capacity limit for the approved 21st Century sites for each school. Other schools in the district that are not listed also provide afterschool opportunities but are not considered 21st Century approved schools

Afterschool Coalition Meetings

The EVSC hosts monthly Afterschool Coalition Meetings that bring together Community Learning Center (CLC) Coordinators, school staff, and community partners to strengthen and expand our afterschool programming. These collaborative meetings aim to:

  • Coordinate services to better meet student and family needs
  • Share resources, ideas, and best practices
  • Plan enrichment activities and events
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and impact

By working together, we ensure our afterschool programs remain inclusive, engaging, and aligned with student success goals. Community voices and partnerships are vital to creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment beyond the school day.

Afterschool Coalition meetings are held the third Thursday of each month from August through April, excluding December.

If you're a community organization interested in getting involved, we welcome your participation!
