Career Apprenticeship Pathways
Bridge the gap between education and employment!
The EVSC has partnered with the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP), the Southwest Indiana Workforce Board and Ivy Tech to form the EVV Career Path Coalition to develop career apprenticeship opportunities for interested EVSC students. Opportunities currently include:
Sterile Processing Apprenticeship with Ascension St. Vincent and Deaconess Health Care Systems
Early Childhood Registered Apprenticeship with EVSC's WeeCare Program

These opportunities are part of the Indiana Career Apprenticeship Pathway (ICAP) program. ICAP is a state-supported initiative designed to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing high school students with hands-on, intensive work-based learning experiences. Through ICAP, students participate in structured youth apprenticeships that combine classroom instruction with paid, on-the-job training in high-demand industries such as advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and education.. The program emphasizes career readiness by aligning with industry certifications and postsecondary credentials, ensuring students graduate with both academic knowledge and practical skills. ICAP fosters strong partnerships between schools, employers, and community organizations, helping to develop a skilled workforce that meets Indiana’s economic needs.
